About

Me

three or four sentences: where you live, what you're studying, what you do outside class (teams, jobs, clubs), and which kind of engineering pulls you in and why.

What I work with

  • In the shop: tools you use, e.g. MIG welder, drill press, 3D printer, soldering iron
  • Design and 3D: Blender, where I modelled seven graphics cards from Python scripts. any CAD you use, e.g. Fusion 360 or Onshape, or delete this
  • Code: Python, SQL (DuckDB), JavaScript, three.js, d3, MapLibre, Electron
  • Data: public datasets from Eurostat, the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the IMF, the UN and NASA

How these were made

The software and data projects here were built with Claude Code, an AI coding assistant made by Anthropic. I decide what to build and why, describe what it should do, try each version, and send it back with notes until it works the way I want. Claude writes most of the code and SQL.

What that looks like in practice:

  • My part: the idea behind each project, the questions the data projects ask, the design decisions (for example, changing Newsweb to show a story’s ideas before its sources), the testing, and deciding when something was good enough.
  • Claude’s part: most of the code and queries, and first drafts of the write-ups.

Each project page has a “My part” line saying what I did on that one. read every "My part" line and make sure it's true; change anything that isn't.

The physical builds and the artwork are my own work by hand. confirm this, or say where you had help
